The Snake's final strike earned a permanent place on the shelf.
This Don Prudhomme Skoal Bandit Red 1995 Top Fuel Dragster carries the look of the dragster from The Snake's last season behind the wheel. Prudhomme climbed out of the cockpit for good after his celebrated 1994 "Final Strike" farewell tour, closing a career that did as much to grow drag racing as any driver's: four consecutive Funny Car world championships, and the Snake vs. Mongoose rivalry that carried the sport from the strip into America's living rooms.
Released in 1995 by Action / Lionel RCCA, the year after his final season, this 1:24 scale replica is one of only 5,004 produced. It belongs with the collector who watched the chutes come out one last time and knew they had seen the end of an era.
